Hello and welcome to our live coverage from Ashton Gate of Stoke City against Bristol City and the final game of the Championship season.
It was a season that initially promised so much for Stoke, who sat second at the start of November and were in the top six until mid-December. But they have slipped down the table since then and Mark Robins is ending his first full campaign as manager ensconced in the bottom half.
They are backed by a sell-out away end for an 11th time this season today and will need to come up with a response to back-to-back home defeats against Millwall and Portsmouth. The squad is boosted by the return of key man Viktor Johansson, who is fit from a fractured shoulder surgery and signed a new long-term contract with the club yesterday.
Bristol City are stuck in mid-table too and this afternoon marks the final game as manager for Roy Hodgson, the former England boss who took temporary charge in late March.
