GR: “I was quite pleased that we at least did it professionally. That’s been the message for the last two games. After our season, there was a little bit of me wondering if we would. But I think we have, so that’s something.

“Today, I thought first half we were actually really good. We moved the ball quite well and controlled possession. There’s always going to be a threat on the counter because I think they’re very good at that, pouncing on your mistakes and opening you up.

“But I thought we got into good areas, created two or three good chances that we didn’t take but we know that’s been an Achilles’ heel anyway.

“Second half they came out and injected more physicality into the game, pressed us a little higher, caused us one or two problems, but I thought we hung in there and then got a little better towards the end when we made some changes.

“I was pleased we got the goal, pleased we got the three points. It’s three points at any level, regardless of whether they’re important or not. It’s nice to finish on a win. It was nice for the fans to feel some sort of positivity.

“I thought there were some good performances out there from some of the young guys as well. We played a few of the young players and mixed it up as the game went on. That was pleasing.”
