Uncrowned has David Benavidez vs. Zurdo Ramirez live results, round-by-round updates, highlights, ring walks and start time for the Benavidez vs. Zurdo fight card on Saturday night at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. In the night’s main event, Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez defends his WBA and WBO unified cruiserweight titles against David Benavidez in a battle of two-division champions.
Ramirez (48-1, 30 KOs), a former super middleweight champion, became a two-division champion with a decision win over Arsen Goulamirian in March 2024. “Zurdo” defeated Chris Billam-Smith in the following fight to add the WBO title to his collection.

Ramirez’s lone defeat came at the hands of Dmitry Bivol for the WBA light heavyweight title in November 2022. He has won four fights since, including most recently against Yuniel Dorticos this past June.
Benavidez (31-0, 25 KOs) is the current WBC light heavyweight champion. He won the interim belt against Oleksandr Gvozdyk and was upgraded to a full titlist last year.
Benavidez formerly held the WBC super middleweight title on two occasions from 2017 to 2020. Last time out, Benavidez stopped Anthony Yarde this past November in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

In the night’s co-feature, Armando Resendiz (16-2, 11 KOs) defends his WBA super middleweight title against Jaime Munguia (45-2, 35 KOs).

Sanchez could not miss with his right hand in the first minute of the stanza. It got through three times over the top.
Sanchez rocked Chavez with an uppercut in the final seconds of the second minute.
Chavez fell onto the canvas, and it was ruled a push. When he returned to his feet, Sanchez landed a brutal combination to knock Chavez down.
Somehow, Chavez got to his feet, but it took just one more uppercut to end the fight.

Not much is landing from him either, but at least he is the one who is forcing the pace and throwing punches in the judge’s eyes. This has become a lacklustre contest. Terrific left hand upstairs on the inside for Sanchez. He is letting his hands rip up close. Strong power shots are going in from Sanchez in the final minute. To the body, Sanchez goes with the right hook.

Chavez came back in the fourth round, using his lateral movement to keep Sanchez at bay. Uncrowned gave him that round and has it 38-38 level.
Brilliant right uppercut from Chavez and a pair of hooks to open the second minute. Chavez was at risk of getting back to a slugfest as Sanchez connected with an attack, but then Chavez went back to moving.
Sustained success for Sanchez at the end of the second minute. The pressure is working. Southpaw left for Sanchez. A combination from Chavez. Now, they are slugging it out. A right hook from Sanchez had Chavez off balance.
Chavez got hit and threw his game plan out of the window.
