A body of a woman has been found in woodlands in Cornwall this morning (Sunday, May 3).
The body was found in woodlands in Killivose, in Camborne, at around 7.45am.
Devon and Cornwall Police said it received a report that a body had been located.
Emergency services attended and a body of a woman was found.
Enquiries are underway to formally identify the woman and notify her next of kin.
The death is currently being treated as unexplained.
A police presence remains in the area.
A witness said they saw “lots of police cars and three forensic vans” near the woods.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “At 7.45am on Sunday, May 3, we received a report of a body found in woodlands in Killivose, in Camborne.
“Emergency services attended and a body of a woman was sadly located.
“A police presence is in the area and enquiries are underway to formally identify the woman and notify her next of kin.
“The woman’s death is currently being treated as unexplained.”
