Manchester train disruption RECAP with line blocked as emergency services deal with ‘incident’

Here is the full statement from TransPennine Express:

“Due to the emergency services dealing with an incident between #ManchesterPiccadilly and #Preston, all lines are blocked.

“Services on the following route may be subject to delays and short notice cancellations: • #ManchesterAirport to #GlasgowCentral in both directions. • #ManchesterAirport to #Edinburgh in both directions.

“Disruption is expected until 14:15.

“Rail Replacement Services will be running between the following stations: • #Preston to #ManchesterPiccadilly, calling at #Bolton and #ManchesterOxfordRoad. • #ManchesterPiccadilly to #Preston, calling at #ManchesterOxfordRoad and #Bolton.”
