Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet may have been together for 3+ years, but they’ve yet to make their Met Gala debut in New York.
That’s right. Arriving at the city’s Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday evening, the Kylie Cosmetics mogul wore a stunning Schiaparelli gown as she embraced this year’s theme of Costume Art – solo.
Fans had hoped that the couple would make their Met Gala debut in 2026, after Jenner and Chalamet were spotted in the city this weekend, along with Jenner’s sisters Kendall and Kim Kardashian – both of whom are also seasoned gala attendees.

According to reports, the reason for Timothée’s absence is that the Met Gala clashes with the second-round playoffs of the New York Knicks, AKA, his favourite team.
While Jenner has been to a total of nine Met Galas over the years, Chalamet has only graced the steps once before, in 2021 (he was co-chair along with Billie Eilish, Naomi Osaka and Amanda Gorman, though, so we’ll let him off the hook).

Kylie and Timmy have, of course, walked a red carpet together in the past. They made their first ever red carpet outing in May last year, just days after Jenner rocked up to that year’s Met Gala alone. They attended the 70th David Di Donatello at Cinecittà Studios in Rome – Jenner in a gorgeous black Schiaparelli gown and Chalamet in a sleek tailored Tom Ford suit.
