The Boots store inside Derbion shopping centre has reopened with a number of new additions in a move that could help detect serious health conditions.
The refurbished store, which has reopened today (Friday, May 1), now contains Boots’ new “One Health” execution, which includes increased offerings across pharmacy, consumer healthcare, hearing care and opticians.
The reinvented healthcare space stretches across 400sqm and offers over 30 healthcare services including NHS Pharmacy First, Instore Weight Loss Treatment Service and a Health MOT, which includes a free blood pressure check for those aged over 40.
It is also home to the new Boots Opticians Optomap service, which uses ultra-wide imaging technology to help detect signs of serious health conditions, including diabetes and hypertension.

Next to the hearing health checks, a new immersion room in the hearing care area will let customers experience hearing devices in realistic soundscapes, from busy restaurants to outdoor concerts, to help find suitable solutions for everyone.
Jamie Kerruish, chief healthcare officer at Boots, said: “The new reimagined healthcare space in the Derby store is a brilliant example of our One Health concept – providing customers with a seamless experience across our full healthcare offering.
“In addition to a broad range of products and services, customers can also access advice, diagnosis and treatment for a range of healthcare concerns easily and accessibly on the high street.
“I’m delighted to unveil the new-look store to our customers in Derby. I’m confident they will love it as much as we do.”
Additionally, the store is set to include Bupa’s in-store GP service, which provides a range of pay-as-you-go services covering menopause, period support, men’s sexual health plans and cervical cancer screening.
The Boots store in Derbion Shopping Centre is open from 9am to 6pm Monday to Wednesday, 9am to 7pm Thursday to Saturday and 10.30am to 4.30pm on Sunday.
