Unity has launched a suite of AI tools in open beta for all developers on Unity 6 or above.

The new toolset is designed to accelerate game development and help creators build better games faster.

The core feature is the Agentic Assistant, a smart helper that operates within game projects to help developers understand their work and use Unity’s tools more effectively.

Additional features include ‘Plan’ mode for designing implementation steps and ‘Skills’ for expert guidance in areas like UI creation and scene setup.

The suite also provides instant rollback of changes and tools to generate placeholder assets, including materials, sounds, cubemaps, and 2D or 3D assets.

Developers can securely connect to and use preferred AI tools within the Unity editor via the AI gateway, or via external coding tools and large language models, using Unity’s Model Context Protocol (MCP) server.

Unity Pro, Enterprise, and Industry subscribers automatically receive these features and credits upon installing the Assistant package.

Unity Personal Edition users can access these features by starting a free Unity AI trial, which provides 1,000 credits for 14 days. After the trial, users may subscribe for $10 per month to receive 1,000 AI credits. Additional bundles or credits are available for purchase if needed.

In 2025, Unity launched its AI-powered ad network, Vector, which demonstrated strong growth during its most recent financial results.

The firm reported that Vector accounted for 56% of total Grow Solutions revenue and expects it “to deliver robust growth each quarter, driving results meaningfully above guidance.”

To focus on higher-growth segments such as Vector, Unity announced the closure of its IronSource advertising and user acquisition network and the divestment of mobile publisher Supersonic.
