A Good Morning Britain presenter sent a message to Bonnie Tyler after she was placed in an induced coma in Portugal

A Good Morning Britain star sent a heartfelt message to Bonnie Tyler.
Ranvir Singh and Kate Garraway returned to the ITV studio for Friday’s (May 8) edition of GMB, where they delivered the latest news from across the UK and around the world.
Later in the show, Sean Fletcher shared news about Bonnie Tyler, after the 74-year-old Welsh singer was placed into an induced coma after emergency surgery in Portugal.
“Bonnie Tyler has been put into an induced coma after her health reportedly deteriorated following emergency bowel surgery,” Sean began.
“The legendary Welsh singer, who’s best known for her hit Total Eclipse of the Heart, was rushed to hospital from her home in Portugal last week.

“A spokesman for Bonnie said doctors had put her into the coma to aid her recovery.”
Sean then sent a supportive message to Bonnie, saying, “We wish her the best,” before handing back to Kate and Ranvir.
A spokesman for the singer shared a further update on her health on Thursday (May 7), saying: “Bonnie has been put into an induced coma by her doctors to aid her recovery.”
They added: “We know that you all wish her well and ask for privacy at this difficult time, please. We will issue a further statement when we are able to.”
More than 2,000 people have posted comments under a post on Bonnie Tyler’s Facebook page to wish her well, with fans from around the world sending supportive messages. There have also been messages from several famous singers, including Katrina Leskanich, the former lead singer of Katrina and the Waves.

“Dearest Bonnie. Make a speedy recovery and come back rocking! We love you,” she wrote. Gloria Gaynor added: “Wishing you a swift recovery, Bonnie!”
Bonnie became an international sensation with Total Eclipse of the Heart back in 1983. The song has remained beloved worldwide, surpassing 1 billion streams on Spotify.
The singer notably received Grammy nominations for the song, the album Faster Than the Speed of Night, and the single Here She Comes. Bonnie is also known for representing the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2013. She finished 19th with her song “Believe in Me.”
Elsewhere on today’s GMB, Ranvir and Kate discussed the results of the local elections and the hantavirus outbreak on the MV Hondius cruise ship.
