Gabriel Goldsmith’s performance of the Jackson 5’s 1969 hit ‘I Want You Back’ has been viewed by more than two million people on TikTok so far after it was posted on the social media platform earlier this week.
The video of the young Barrovian singing his little heart out in true Michael Jackson style has also been liked by nearly 350,000, with more than 4,500 comments too.

The young lad’s performance of the Motown classic comes after the motion picture ‘Michael’, depicting the life of Michael Jackson, hit cinemas at the end of last month.
Gabriel’s mum Hannah Goldsmith said she ‘never imagined it would reach so many people’ when she posted it on the popular social media platform.
Asked about whether she thought the performance would ever go viral, Hannah said: “We honestly didn’t expect it. We thought it might have made a few people smile, but two million views is something we never imagined.
“The response has been incredible – more than 4,500 comments, all of them amazingly positive.”
Gabriel’s mum said that her son has always been a little performer with him being able to sing songs like ‘We are the champions’ and ‘Don’t stop me now’ by Queen when he was just two years old.

Hannah said that Gabriel ‘just loves singing at home’ and she and her husband, Gabriel’s father Antony Goldsmith, ‘are incredibly proud of him.’
Asked what Gabriel’s reaction has been to the video, Hannah said: “He doesn’t really grasp the scale of it all, and I don’t think he realises just how good he is.
“For him, it is simply about singing and enjoying himself, but knowing that others enjoy it too makes him very happy.
“I show him the kind comments, which always bring a big smile to his face.”
Michael Jackson was 11 years old when he sang ‘I Want You Back’, and perhaps Barrow’s own Gabriel will be the next superstar singer to make waves in the music industry at such a young age.
