Union Bears banner unfurled by Rangers fans at Celtic Park

Rangers fans unfurled a huge Union Bears banner at Celtic Park – despite the ultras away day derby ban.

The Ibrox side only accepted an allocation at the home of their fiercest rivals on the condition that the controversial supporters group weren’t handed any briefs.

However, their presence is certainly being felt inside the ground with a huge banner and scarves bearing their name and logo.

Celtic took a hardline stance on the Union Bears following trouble at Ibrox when the sides met in the Scottish Cup in March.

Rangers were unhappy at being told they can’t hand tickets to the ultras and took their fight to the SPFL – but league chiefs ruled in favour of the Hoops.

But some members appear to have got round the ban judging by the photos of from the away end at Celtic Park.

Strict rules, though, meant visiting fans weren’t allowed entry into the stadium wearing face masks, with many wearing balaclavas to games.
