Coventry City have again been linked with Irish hot-shot Troy Parrott ahead of their return to the Premier League.
The Sky Blues are now preparing for life back in the promised land after storming to the Championship title with 95 points under Frank Lampard.
While it isn’t known exactly how much Coventry owner Doug King is willing to spend this summer, Lampard’s squad will need to be reinforced with quality additions to avoid the fate that seven of the last nine teams promoted from the Championship have suffered.

A striker who can score goals in the Premier League is key and Coventry might not just be able to hedge their bets on Haji Wright, Ellis Simms and Brandon Thomas-Asante – who netted 43 Championship goals between them last term.
Parrott, 24, has been in sensational form for AZ Alkmaar and the Republic of Ireland during the last 12 months to score 31 goals in 47 matches.
The Irishman has been prolific in the Dutch league for sixth-placed AZ and he’s scored 10 times in the Europa Conference League too.
But the highlights of Parrott’s season came during the November international window when he fired Ireland to victories over Portugal and Hungary with five goals in the space of four days.
He is expected to attract attention this summer and, according to French football journalist Sébastien Vidal, newly-promoted Coventry and Ipswich Town are among his admirers.
This comes after it was claimed before Christmas that Lampard has been a fan of Parrot for some time and would look to sign him in the January transfer window.
The move didn’t come to fruition in January but Coventry are likely to be much more aggressive in their pursuit of fresh faces now.
