Mersey Ferries has issued a statement after all services on the river were suspended. Services remain suspended today, Monday, May 11, due to “mechanical issues”. In a statement on its social media pages, the team, which is part of the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, said: “Due to mechanical issues, services are currently suspended.
“Our evening commuter services will not operate today. Customers can use Merseyrail services between Liverpool James Street and Hamilton Square to connect with bus replacement services to Seacombe and vice versa.
“Thank you for your patience as our teams work to restore a full service.”
The commuter ferry service operates each weekday between the Liverpool Gerry Marsden ferry terminal at the Pier Head and Seacombe in Wirral.
There are also a number of cruise options available for tourists and sightseers.
