The much-anticipated new series of Big Brother is on the horizon, with ITV gearing up for its third season a quarter of a century since its debut on Channel 4. Over the years, the show has seen many romances blossom, yet only one couple has stood the test of time.

Mikey Dalton, now 42, and Grace Adams-Short, 39, found love on the programme nearly two decades ago and their relationship remains as strong as ever.

The duo became household names during the memorable seventh series of the reality TV staple, which also featured Nikki Grahame and Pete Bennett.

Their romance quickly developed amid the mayhem of the Big Brother house, leading Mikey to propose just four months after their stint on the show ended.

The couple exchanged vows in 2009 and are now a strong family of six.

Their first daughter, Georgina, arrived in 2012, followed by their son Spencer three years later. Grace and Mikey are also proud parents to six year old Allegra and their youngest, Atticus, born in 2022.

They often express their desire to one day share their Big Brother journey with their children, showing them the very place their love story began, reports the Mirror.

Reflecting on her unexpected life-changing experience, Grace shared with This Morning in 2023: “I didn’t have any idea that I was going to meet my life partner, my husband, absolutely not. We just thought it was going to be a fun summer. I was 20 years old, it was kind of like a gap year.”

Mikey confessed that his initial attraction to his now-wife wasn’t love at first sight, but rather lust.

“I was lusting after her, I still remember the outfit you wore going in and the boots and everything. I was lovestruck when I saw her,” he said.

In an interview with local Plymouth newspaper, The Herald, 23 year old Grace discussed their whirlwind engagement: “We got engaged after four months, which may sound quick but we got to know each other so fast on the show, so it felt right for us.”

The most recent romance to blossom in the Big Brother house occurred in 2023, between Jordan Sangha and Henry Southan.

Fans were rooting for the couple during their time in the house and were deeply disappointed when they announced their split earlier this year.

Henry took to Instagram to share the news, writing: “After a lot of thought, Jordan and I have decided to go our separate ways. It’s incredibly sad, and we’re both hurting, but we know it’s the right step. We’re so grateful for the love and support you’ve shown us – thank you.”

He added: “Please give us some space as we figure things out privately.”

Jordan also released his own statement, expressing his sadness: “An unfortunate announcement. After many times, memories, and precious experiences, Henry and I have parted ways.

“I want to thank everyone who has supported us. We will always remain close friends. Cheers x.”

Earlier this year, elsewhere, ex-Love Island celebrity Chris Hughes and JoJo Siwa struck up a very close bond in the Celebrity Big Brother house.

Not long after exiting the show, JoJo announced her split from her partner Kath Ebbs, and soon after, she and Chris confirmed their relationship.
