Ryan Taylor reports for the Mirror that VfB Stuttgart are continuing discussions over the permanent transfer of Fabio Vieira, with the Gunners looking to bring in up to €20m (£17.3m).
Taylor points out that Stuttgart have the money to complete such a deal, given they’re selling Enzo Millot to Saudi Pro League club Al-Ahli. The reporter adds that Vieira has been told he can leave Arsenal this summer.
Vieira hasn’t featured in Arsenal’s pre-season matches, but he has been in training, and Mikel Arteta reportedly observed him as part of a post-match training session on Saturday night.

David Ornstein originally reported for The Athletic on Monday evening that Stuttgart were pursuing a deal to sign Vieira from Arsenal. Though Vieira spent last season out on loan, Stuttgart are looking to bring the midfielder in on a permanent basis.
Ornstein added that there’s no agreement yet, but talks with Arsenal are continuing over the transfer.
The report also suggested Arsenal will seek a respectable price for Vieira, given they signed him for up to €40m in 2022. The player has two years left on his contract with the Gunners.

There had also been talk of West Ham United interest in Vieira last month, with the club reportedly adding the midfielder to their summer shortlist as they plan multiple signings in the centre of the park. But there’s been no progress on that front so far.
