Anglebury Court, in Bonnetts Lane, run by Care Dorset, achieved a ‘Good’ rating in all areas according to the latest report published by the CQC.
Inspectors visited Anglebury Court, a care home with dementia specialisms, from February 25 to 27, with a further off site assessment carried out between March 2 and 4.

According to the report, the care home is registered to provide accommodation and personal care for up to 32 older people.
At the time of the inspection, 31 residents were living at the home.
Anglebury Court is divided into four distinct areas, each with its own kitchen, dining room and lounge area.
Following the inspection, assessors praised the care provided across all five key areas: safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.
Ally Prince, chief operating officer at Care Dorset, said: “This is a classic team effort, and my congratulations to everyone involved.
“I don’t think there’s a way to make CQC inspections anything other than nerve-wracking, so I’m very pleased inspectors recognised the team’s hard work.
“We will, of course, have to keep on earning the rating until the next time, but to see it confirmed is such great news.”

Care Dorset runs 23 sites across the county, employs around 800 staff and provides care to about 900 people.
Inspectors from the CQC reported: “Everyone we spoke with told us they, or their loved one felt safe and that staff knew people well.
“Care plans were detailed and provided sufficient guidance to staff to keep people safe.”
However, inspectors did identify issues with the care home’s record keeping, medication management and staffing, noting these had not been picked up through internal audits.
While medicines were administered safely, staff were sometimes interrupted during rounds, prompting management to take action.
According to the report summary, although overall staffing levels were sufficient, some relatives and staff reported they felt there were not always enough staff to meet individual needs; however, staff were found to be properly trained and recruitment processes were safe.
A family member of an Anglebury Court resident said: “Staff are passionate and care deeply about the residents.
“In resident meetings, people consistently say they feel safe, which is a testament to the compassion of the team.”
A staff member at the home also commended the working environment, saying: “Colleagues are very supportive and helpful, so it’s a really nice place for working”.
