Multiple teenage boys have been arrested after a woman was stabbed and left in a critical condition in Huddersfield.
A 17-year-old Huddersfield boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a woman was stabbed and left with serious head and neck injuries following an assault on Topaz Close in Huddersfield, on Monday, May 11. Three other boys, aged 18, 17, and 16, have been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
The woman, aged 30, remains in a critical condition in hospital. West Yorkshire Police area appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
They are asking for any witnesses to the attack, which took place at 10.30pm, or who saw two suspects in the Birkby/Edgerton area on an ebike or Surron before or after the stabbing.
The police said: “Police investigating a serious attack on a woman in Huddersfield have made multiple arrests as enquiries continue. Kirklees CID is continuing to appeal for witnesses after a woman was stabbed and left with serious head and neck injuries in an assault on Topaz Close, Huddersfield, on Monday 11 May.
“Officers yesterday (16/ 5) arrested a 17-year-old Huddersfield boy on suspicion of attempted murder and three teenage Huddersfield boys aged, 18, 17 and 16 on suspicion of assisting an offender.
“The 30-year-old victim of the attack remains in hospital in a critical condition.
“Police continue to appeal for anyone who saw the attack, which took place at about 10.30pm, or two suspects within the Birkby/Edgerton on an ebike or a Surron before or after the stabbing to come forward with information.”
