Bernwood Park Hotel, in Boarstall near the M40, is due to open in July following months of renovation.
The site was previously Magnolia Park Hotel and Golf Club, but after its closure in 2020 the area has stood derelict.
The new hotel will offer an 18-hole golf course, wellness experience, restaurant, as well as dog friendly rooms.
Original plans involved tearing down the existing building to offer a ‘high quality, contemporary hotel’.
The hotel, originally a 40-bedroom space, was planned to be replaced with the new 100-bed hotel, spa and conference centre.
The former Best Western Plus Hotel, just off the A40 south of Upper Arncott, closed in July 2020.

The closure came months after the site reopened following the easing of Covid restrictions in May 2020.
At the time, the owners said in a statement: “Taking account of ongoing Covid-19 restrictions, and the long-term repercussions for the hotel business, the owner has confirmed that both the hotel and golf course will then remain closed until further notice and plans will commence for the redevelopment of the hotel and grounds.”
They added: “The decision to close the hotel, which changed ownership in July 2019, comes after careful consideration and consultation, including a detailed review of the long-term strategic options for the property.”
