This category celebrates individuals who are influential in promoting sustainable practices either within their own organisations, beyond, or both.
Heidi Au Yeung is sustainability lead at Studio Egret West, where she manages the practice’s net zero strategy. She has established policies to ensure SBTi alignment and has supported development of an in-house Sustainability Design Guide synthesising benchmarks from LETI, UKGBC, and the RIBA 2030 Climate Challenge. Beyond the practice, she is leading an LSA Design Think Tank, in collaboration with Greengage, to investigate the upstream ecological impacts of construction materials, and is building cross-sector partnerships with organisations outside the built environment. In 2025 she was chosen as one of the Edie 30 Under 30 group of talented sustainability and net-zero professionals.
Alexander Buck is head of sustainability at Buckley Gray Yeoman, where he has transformed how the practice approaches environmental responsibility. The practice credits him with creating a practice-wide sustainability culture that significantly elevates internal engagement and capability, through extensive up-skilling initiatives that enable staff to confidently integrate sustainable design into their daily work.
He has worked to amplify sustainability messages to wider audiences through mentoring, extensive speaking engagements, as well as involvement with Don’t Waste Buildings and the Alliance for Sustainable Building Products and pro bono work with Hackney’s Home Energy Action Lab.
As a key member of Collective Architecture’s Collective Energy team in 2025, Eugenia Mompó led its Climate working group and helped to develop the practice’s retrofit and low energy design capabilities across major projects. As part of the B Corp certification process, she helped strengthen environmental accountability and integrate sustainability into the practice’s business operations. She is a certified Passivhaus Designer and is a Built Environment Changemakers at BE-ST, Scotland’s national innovation centre for construction and the built environment.
David Storring is director and head of research & innovation at Morris+Company, where he leads research‑driven innovation and advocates for ambitious sustainability outcomes with clients and collaborators. He has played a key role in the creation of sustainability tools and a practice‑wide materials library to measure and compare environmental performance. Outside the practice, he is a sustainability expert on the Lewisham, Greenwich and Redbridge Design Review Panels, and a member of the LETI retrofit steering group.
