Zlatan Ibrahimovic has seemingly confirmed that he will step into the boxing ring against Tyson Fury later this summer after posting a surprise face-off online.

The former Manchester United striker uploaded several photos alongside Fury on Instagram.

He also hinted at a showdown taking place in Dublin on August 1.

The post immediately sparked major reaction online.

Ibrahimovic retired from professional football following the 2022/23 season.

However, the 44-year-old continues to remain heavily in the sport.

Earlier this year, FOX Sports also confirmed Zlatan as part of their punditry team for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Swedish icon enjoyed a memorable spell at United between 2016 and 2018.

Despite arriving at Old Trafford in his mid-30s, Zlatan Ibrahimovic still scored 28 goals during his debut campaign.

He helped the Red Devils win the Europa League and EFL Cup under Jose Mourinho.

His personality and mentality quickly made him a fan favourite.

Now entering his mid-40s, Zlatan appears ready for a completely different challenge.

Tyson Fury also recently returned to the ring and is expected to fight Anthony Joshua later this year in one of British boxing’s most anticipated matchups.

The former heavyweight world champion remains one of the biggest names in combat sports.

Fury built his legacy through victories over the likes of Wladimir Klitschko and Deontay Wilder during an iconic heavyweight career.

The 37-year-old has also spoken openly in the past about supporting Manchester United while growing up.

However, Fury previously admitted he no longer follows the club closely.
