All four Welsh professional teams have announced their leavers list following the 2025/26 season

A total of 37 players have now officially been confirmed as leaving Welsh rugby’s four professional regions ahead of the 2026/27 season, with a number of Wales internationals, club legends and fan favourites among the departures.

The Ospreys, Scarlets, Cardiff and Dragons have all released retained lists in recent weeks as squads begin to take shape for next season.

There are some huge names on the move, including Jac Morgan, Dewi Lake and Aaron Wainwright, while Welsh rugby icon Leigh Halfpenny is retiring.

Here is every player confirmed to be leaving each Welsh region.

Ospreys – 10 departures

The Ospreys have today confirmed 10 exits, with the headline news dominated by the departures of Wales stars Morgan and Lake to Gloucester.

However, supporters were also surprised to see influential wing Daniel Kasende among the leavers.

Utility back Jack Walsh is heading to France, while promising young lock James Fender has secured a move to Grenoble.

The Scarlets also announced 11 departures, with former Wales lock Jake Ball retiring for the second time.

Wales wing Tom Rogers is joining the Ospreys, while Springbok hooker Marnus van der Merwe is moving to Munster.

The west Walians are also losing assistant coach Jared Payne.

Cardiff confirmed 11 exits, including the retirement of Halfpenny after one of the greatest careers by a Welsh player in the professional era.

Prop Corey Domachowski is joining the Scarlets, while Ben Donnell is heading to Ulster.

The Arms Park outfit also confirmed that Mackenzie Martin will leave Welsh rugby entirely for a move to French side Beziers following his loan spell with the Dragons.

The Dragons have confirmed six departures, headlined by Wainwright’s move to Leicester Tigers.

Club centurion James Benjamin is also retiring after 13 seasons at Rodney Parade.
