Man Utd play Brighton in the Premier League on Sunday, but Diogo Dalot has been omitted from the matchday squad.

Michael Carrick has left Diogo Dalot out of Manchester United’s squad to face Brighton so he can hand an opportunity to players who haven’t featured as much this season. Dalot has still travelled to the Amex Stadium because he wanted to support the team.
Noussair Mazraoui has come into the side for Dalot. Carrick has made another two changes to face Brighton, with Mason Mount and Patrick Dorgu getting the nod to replace Casemiro and Matheus Cunha in the XI.
Carrick confirmed at his pre-Brighton press conference that Casemiro played his final game for United against Nottingham Forest. “It was kind of decided last week would be his last game,” he said.

Luke Shaw has retained his place at left-back to become the only United player in the squad to start every Premier League game this season. Bruno Fernandes also starts as he looks to break the league’s assist record.
Fernandes recorded his 20th assist of the Premier League season last weekend, meaning he equalled the record for the most assists in a campaign, which had been jointly held by Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne.
Carrick has named Tyler Fletcher and Shea Lacey on the bench at the Amex Stadium. Speaking about giving young players a chance ahead of facing Brighton, Carrick said: “Academy players and younger players, giving them opportunities is a real responsibility that we feel towards the game as well.
“And getting the balance right at certain times going into games like this. It’s an opportunity, depending on how the game goes, to try and make the most of that because I think we’ve got some really good young players that we want to try to take the next step and give them the opportunity.
“So hopefully that pans out in a positive way for us.”
