The road was closed for a time but has since reopened.
Mark Ovens, a UUP councillor for Erne West, said this was “another tragic reminder” of the dangers that exist on rural roads.
“This is devastating news for the family and loved ones of the person who has sadly lost their life following this collision,” he said.
“It is especially heartbreaking that this tragedy has happened over a bank holiday weekend, a time when families should be together, not facing unimaginable loss.”
Ovens also paid tribute to the emergency services who attended the scene.
“I would urge anyone travelling over the remainder of the weekend to take extra care on the roads,” he said.
“Far too many families across Northern Ireland have already had their lives changed forever by road traffic collisions this year.”
