Manchester Airport said the upper and lower forecourt of T2 remain closed.
Additional staff are now being deployed around the airport site to manage traffic flow and to direct passengers.
There are also going to be additional buses allocated for passengers using the free drop-off area at Jet Parks 1.
Giving advice to travellers, the airport said those heading to Terminal 2 by road, are advised to instead use the free drop-off area in Jet Parks 1 until further notice, with marshals on site there to give advice.
For picking up, people are asked to use the Terminal 2 West multi-storey car park via Sydney Avenue.
Terminal three remains unaffected.
The airport also added: “Please allow plenty of time to travel to and from the airport. We will continue to do all we can to minimise any disruption to passengers.”
