This year’s Garmin Ride Out will be held on Saturday, May 30, setting off from Moyles Court School on a scenic 50‑mile route through the New Forest.
The ride supports Action Medical Research, which funds life‑saving research to help sick and vulnerable children.
Participants of all abilities will join professional cyclists and Garmin ambassadors for a day of adventure, community, and charity, with opportunities to hear from cycling legends and enjoy the atmosphere of an event village.
Ben Foster, a retired English goalkeeper who played for clubs including Manchester United, Birmingham City, and West Bromwich, will be taking part.
Mr Foster, who is also a Garmin ambassador, said: “This is, I think, my fourth or fifth one I’ve done now, and every year the turnout is just absolutely phenomenal.
“The track is fantastic. It’s beautiful, and everybody’s having a nice time, it’s a lovely day.”
Speaking about the charity, he said: “Action Medical Research, they’re the guys that are genuinely saving people’s lives.
“Every time we go to these Action Medical Research charity gala dinners, you know you’re going to have to take some tissues with you because of the stories that people tell you. This is life‑changing for people, it really is.
“I think it’s easy sometimes to forget what good work these people actually do, and I think the most important part is to highlight their work.”
Each rider will receive a Garmin Ride Out jersey and an exclusive Garmin Connect Badge for completing the route.
The event village will feature Garmin’s latest cycling products, giveaways, and a Q&A session with pro cyclists and Garmin ambassadors.
Attendees can explore Garmin’s latest cycling technology, including the new Edge 850 and 1050 cycling computers and the Varia RearVue 820 rearview radar taillight.

All proceeds from the Ride Out will support Action Medical Research, a charity that Garmin has supported for more than 10 years.
The organisation funds research into treatments, vaccines, and cures that could save the lives of children now and in the future.
