Gervonta Davis’ legal problems are mounting amid his plans to return to the ring.
The Baltimore boxer is wanted by police in his home state of Maryland after allegedly violating his probation during an altercation at a Miami strip club.

Davis was recorded by CCTV grabbing his ex-partner by her neck and forcibly removing her from her place of work, before she eventually fled from the car park.
The 31-year-old was arrested in January on charges of battery, false imprisonment and attempted kidnapping.
He was released after posting a $8,500 bond.
The false imprisonment charge has been dropped, while the battery and attempted kidnapping charges remain.

At the time of the incident, Davis was on probation for a hit-and-run in November 2020 that injured four people.
A Baltimore judge initially issued an arrest warrant on February 2.
But Davis’ attorney successfully argued that his client had cooperated with law enforcement, and so the warrant was recalled.
Another warrant was then issued by the same judge on April 24, which has stuck.
If Davis is arrested, he will be held without bond, according to the Baltimore County court database.

His latest legal troubles come just one week after ‘Tank’ was ordered to defend his WBA lightweight title against No.1-ranked contender Floyd Schofield.

Both parties now have until June 22 to agree on terms.
If they cannot strike a deal, then a purse bid will be called.
Davis hasn’t set foot in the ring since March 2025, when he held Lamont Roach to a highly controversial draw.
Roach was wrongfully denied a knockdown in the ninth round that would have won him the fight on the scorecards.
Davis had initially been exploring a rematch with Isaac Cruz, but if he hopes to keep hold of his black-and-gold strap, he will have to face Schofield instead.
His promoter, Premier Boxing Champions (PBC), is exercising caution about locking in a return date amid Davis’ legal troubles.
