Second suspected explosive device found on Bridlington beach

A second suspected explosive device has been found on a beach in East Yorkshire in the space of two days.

HM Coastguard said an explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) team was sent to an area on Bridlington’s south beach earlier.

A spokesperson said the Coastguard was first made aware of the “suspected ordnance” at about 14:10 BST and a cordon was put in place.

They added: “Bridlington Coastguard Rescue Team has been sent to ensure public remain at a safe distance.”
