The NHS trust that runs Northwick Park Hospital and St Mark’s Hospital has appointed a new interim chief executive.
Mark Titcomb, who is currently managing director of Ealing Hospital, Central Middlesex Hospital and the Elective Orthopaedic Centre, will take up the role later this summer at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust.
He will replace current chief executive Pippa Nightingale, who is leaving at the end of July.
During his time at the trust, Mark has overseen the introduction of the Elective Orthopaedic Centre and the Ealing Community Diagnostic Centre, both aimed at improving access to healthcare services for patients across north west London.
The trust provides hospital and community services to people living in Harrow, Brent and Ealing. It employs around 9,000 staff and serves a population of approximately one million people. Alongside Northwick Park and St Mark’s hospitals in Harrow, the trust also runs Ealing Hospital and Central Middlesex Hospital.
Pippa said: “Congratulations to Mark as he takes on this important challenge. Leading LNWH has been a genuine pleasure, so I will be watching with pride as you all continue with the successes we’ve made together.”
Before joining the trust, Mark held senior operational roles at West Middlesex University Hospital, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and elsewhere in the NHS.
Mark was one of four appointments made by the North West Provider Group, which brings together four acute hospital trusts across north west London.
Mark said: “I’m excited to step into this role at such an important time. We have a superb workforce delivering such great care for our patients and communities every day.
“We have the chance to really build on that by working together, and by making the most of group opportunities for closer collaboration and shared learning.”
