Hayes Lane Playing Field, in Fakenham, is described as having equipment that is at “the end of it’s life”.
A survey has since been launched by Fakenham Town Council, asking for views on how to improve the area.
A spokesman for the council said: “This is the first step in a longer-term project. Gathering ideas from residents is a vital part of the process, helping us understand what is important to our community.
“Although there may not be visible changes immediately, work is already under way behind the scenes to explore options for the site’s future.”
Among the ideas that have been mooted are new play equipment, seating and green spaces.
Active Fakenham, a community group based in the town, has also proposed installing an outdoor fitness circuit around the perimeter of the field – including pull-up bars and balance beams among others.
People can share their views by emailing the town council no later than June 26.
