HERRIMAN, Utah (ABC4) — A Utah nurse was arrested for allegedly selling her prescribed oxycodone to another individual and keeping deceased patients’ pills in her home.
Dusti Jo Hall, 55, has been arrested on one count of distribution of a controlled substance (second-degree felony), one count of unlawful possession of a prescription medication (Class A misdemeanor), and one count of possession of marijuana in violation of Utah law (Class B misdemeanor).
According to court documents, in early 2026, detectives with the Herriman Police Department received information that a Utah nurse, Dusti Jo Hall, was unlawfully distributing prescription narcotics from her residence.
Upon a search of Hall’s residence on June 3, law enforcement discovered a safe with thousands of prescription pills in multiple prescription bottles prescribed to Hall, as well as prescription bottles bearing the names of other individuals.
Additionally, police found marijuana and approximately $50,000 in the safe.

During an interview, Hall admitted to selling some of her prescribed oxycodone to another individual on multiple occasions for approximately $20 to $30 per pill.
She also admitted to failing to properly dispose of prescription medications belonging to deceased patients. However, she denied selling these medications.
Due to the circumstances, Hall was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail.
Charges are allegations only. All arrested persons are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
