The TV survival expert climbed Pen y Fan in the Brecon Beacons, sharing a photo from the summit alongside his son, Huckleberry, during a recent trip to Wales.

He also stopped in Hay-on-Wye for the Hay Festival.

Mr Grylls, known for his hit show Man vs. Wild, celebrated his 52nd birthday on June 7.

Fan comments on social media included “Our Hero getting old,” while another joked: “more adventure in a week than me in my life 😂”.

Born Edward Michael Grylls, he served with the 21 SAS and survived a near-fatal parachuting accident before rising to international fame.

He remains one of the youngest people to have climbed Mount Everest and later became the youngest-ever Chief Scout.
