A man has been taken to hospital after police cordoned off Tesco in West Derby this morning (Thursday, June 11). Emergency services were called to Deysbrook Lane after a man was spotted on the roof of Tesco Superstore.
Merseyside Police said they were called just before 5.25am with reports of concern for safety. A police negotiator was called and the area was closed to motorists and members of the public.
Around 10am Merseyside Police confirmed the man had come down from Tesco roof and has been detained under MFH. He will be taken to hospital, the force said.
