Emma Raducanu has continued to impress, despite losing at the Cincinnati Open to world number one Aryna Sabalenka.
Raducanu has been praised by Sabalenka after their match at the Cincinnati Open that went all the way to a deciding set tie-break.
With the match being decided by small margins, Raducanu has also been told she made a mistake that cost her the match.
Despite that criticism, most of the conversation surrounding Raducanu at the moment is positive as she looks to continue her momentum at the US Open.

Raducanu was supported by new coach Francisco Roig at the Cincinnati Open for their first tournament together.
This appears to have got off to a positive start, with Raducanu now on the brink of being seeded at the US Open.
Raducanu won the US Open in 2021 as a qualifier, but has been unable to reach a final since then.
Former coach of the Williams sisters, Rick Macci, believes that Raducanu lost some of her will after becoming the centre of the spotlight after her breakthrough win.
However, after watching her match against Sabalenka, Macci believes that Raducanu has now gained that will back and he has suggested that he thinks she can make a run at the US Open this year.
“Great competitive effort from Emma against Sab[alenka],” Macci wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter). “The secret sauce with a win or loss. She never lost the skill just the will.
“Now all about the battle and harder to rattle. Can deliver shock waves in New York by going into each fight with a knife not a fork.”

Emma Raducanu’s results at the US Open since 2021
Raducanu is the only qualifier in history to win a Grand Slam after her shock victory at the US Open in 2021, where she won 10 consecutive matches without dropping a set.
However, since then it has actually been Raducanu’s weakest Grand Slam tournament, as she has failed to win a single match in her two subsequent appearances at the New York major.
In the year where she was defending her title, the Brit lost to Alize Cornet, while in 2024 Raducanu was beaten by Sofia Kenin, who is also a Grand Slam champion.
Raducanu missed the 2023 tournament after undergoing surgeries to both of her wrists, as well as her left ankle.

While singles is the focus for Raducanu, she will also make her Grand Slam doubles debut at the US Open.
As part of the new mixed doubles event at the US Open, Raducanu will partner Carlos Alcaraz in a highly talked about partnership.
