Sam Burgess has made two changes to his Warrington Wolves squad to take on Catalans Dragons on Thursday night. The Wolves are in desperate need of a result after losing to Wigan Warriors last time out and they’ll fancy their chances of claiming one against an out of form French side.
Matt Dufty is included once more after missing out on selection last week due to a disciplinary issue and he looks set to come back into the mix this week. Connor Wrench and Adam Holroyd are the two players who return to the Wire fold this week with the former set to step into the outside-backs while Holroyd provides much needed depth in the pack.
Max Wood, who was named on the bench last week and Cai Taylor-Wray are the two players to be removed from the squad.
Catalans Dragons have been boosted by the return of two key men this week with Tevita Pangai Jr in the running to make an appearance against the team he will be joining ahead of next season. The prop has signed a one-year deal with Warrington and he’ll be keen to make an impression.
Nick Cotric is also back in the fold for Joel Tomkins’ men, with Tariq Sims and Leo Darrelatour the two men dropping out of this week’s 21-man squad.
Catalans have now lost their last five games in Super League with their 18-6 loss to Huddersfield Giants last week coming as a disappointment. The French side know they need to avoid defeat against the Wolves if they are to guarantee they remain in ninth this week with Castleford Tigers and Huddersfield now just two points below them in the table.
