Deer spotted swimming in Cornwall
A man was left surprised when he spotted two deer taking a swim in a tidal pool at Hayle Estuary this weekend.
The animals enjoyed a little paddle in the water at Carnsew Pool on the RSPB nature reserve at around 10am.
And the unusual sight was captured on camera by local man Will Buckley who said: “Not something you see every day. I just thought, it’s the last thing you expect to see when you go to work in the morning. It looked like they managed to get out near the railway.”

Carnsew Pool is located at the eastern end of the Hayle Estuary. It is a tidal pool that attracts wildfowl, divers and waders, depending on the tide, with all six species of divers having been spotted in the pool. The scene captured by Will was on Saturday (June 6).
