That was fun, what a smash fest. Mads Pedersen took a great win, the presence of Mattias Skjelmose was so important in the finale. The lead group now have a lovely lead over the rest of the peloton, it won’t be a surprise to see the podium full of those who fought for the win today. Getting the peloton and all their equipment off the island wasn’t easy, that’s why this stage is only 115km, allowing for a late start.
