A woman whose death has prompted a murder investigation has been named by police as Gosia Wiktor.
Wiktor, 51, was found seriously injured at a property on Foster Square, in the Belle Isle area of Leeds, on Thursday morning and died at the scene.
A 52-year-old man, who was taken to hospital in a “critical condition” and arrested on suspicion of murder, is now in police custody, West Yorkshire Police said on Monday.
In a tribute issued through police, Wiktor’s family described her as “a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt and cousin”, who was “the heart of our family” and “a source of warmth, love, and joy”.
