Second XI Championship: Somerset v Kent

Somerset will resume on 26 without loss on the second day of this Second XI County Championship match against Kent at Taunton Vale Sports Club, trailing by 400.
DAY ONE
Somerset take on Kent in the Second XI County Championship at Taunton Vale Sports Club this week.
Kent won the toss and elected to bat.
Jake Lintott and Will Harby shared an opening stand of 74 before the latter was trapped lbw by Will MacDonald for 38.
Lintott then added 59 with Jaydn Denly before he was dismissed for 46 at 133 for two.
Denly fell for 43 for the addition of just eight runs to the total, and by the time the lunch interval arrived, the visitors were 156 for three.
After the break, Tejpal Birdi made 81 and Oliver Curtiss was not out on 62 as the visitors reached 332 for eight at tea.
Curtiss went on to make 102 before he fell lbw to Jack Blackwell.
Ethan Rice added a useful 41 as Kent were eventually dismissed for 426.
Ben Sleeman was the pick of the bowlers, claiming four for 63.
By the close of play, Somerset had reached 26 without loss.
