There is a raft of free agents on the rugby transfer market as Gallagher PREM clubs have now announced their final squads.
Here is a look at all the latest confirmed moves and transfer rumours from around the Gallagher PREM…
Bristol Bears looking to add a lock
Bristol Bears director of rugby Pat Lam has confirmed he is on the hunt for an additional lock for his 2026/27 squad, having seen homegrown talent James Dun sign for Harlequins and releasing Steele Barker.
Barker has since signed for the Champ Rugby side Cornish Pirates.
Lam said: “You look at our second rows, and you know, we probably still have a space for one more person there, potentially.”
Bristol’s starting second rows when everyone is fit are set to be Pedro Rubiolo and Joe Batley, with Joe Owen’s star on the rise and George Taylor impressively breaking through.

Gloucester centurion signs for Vannes
Argentina international Matias Alemanno, who made his 100th appearance for Gloucester on the final day of the 2025/26 season in the 52-21 win over Newcastle Red Bulls, has joined newly promoted French Top 14 side Vannes.
Lock Alemanno, who spent five years in Cherry and Whites, has signed a two-year deal with Vannes who beat Provence in the ProD2 final last week.
Alemanno, 34, has earned 99 caps for the Pumas and looks set to add to that this summer.
Alemanno said: “I am very proud and eager to join a great club like Rugby Club Vannes,” Alemanno said. “I know how passionate and loyal the fans are, which makes this opportunity even more special. I can’t wait to meet my teammates, get to work, and take on the challenges of returning to the Top 14 together.”
Newcastle Red Bulls prop becomes a Pirate
Champ Rugby side Cornish Pirates have confirmed that prop Jamie Clark will join the club from Newcastle Red Bulls ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The Australian-born prop forward, who is English qualified, represented the Wallabies at under-20s level as well as featuring in the New South Wales Waratahs academy, with spells in the Shute Shield and All-Ireland leagues. Clark played in each of Newcastle Red Bulls’ final three Gallagher Prem fixtures after joining on a short-term deal.

Gloucester sign Samoan tighthead prop
George Skivington believes new tighthead prop signing Marco Fepulea’i will help bring ‘real edge and physicality’ to the Gloucester Rugby pack next season after the club confirmed the Samoan’s addition to the squad ahead of 2026/27.
The 31-year-old began 2025/26 as a short-term injury joker for Top 14 side Bayonne, making three league and two Champions Cup appearances, before signing for ProD2 side Mont-de-Marsan with whom he completed the season and has been called up to Samoa’s squad this summer ahead of the Nations Series.

Cardiff Rugby to snap up Harlequins fly-half
Released Welsh international fly-half Jarrod Evans will join Cardiff Rugby having been released by Harlequins this summer, Wales Online report.
Our sister publication reports a return to the Arms Park has been on the cards for some time, with a deal understood to be done. The 29-year-old left Cardiff in 2023, after financial constraints left the club unable to offer a number of their top players competitive offers.

Exeter Chiefs scrum-half make Championship move
Worcester Warriors have resigned released Exeter Chiefs scrum-half Charlie Chapman ahead of the 2026/27 Champ Rugby season.
A product of the Gloucester Rugby academy, Chapman made nearly 100 appearances for the club, scoring thirteen tries before joining Exeter at the start of this season. While at Exeter, Chapman has featured 19 tries for the Devon club across Prem Cup, Premiership and the Challenge Cup.

Cherry and Whites and Perpignan in negotiations over Ross Byrne’s future
Gloucester fly-half Ross Byrne’s looks likely to still be heading in the opposite direction across the Channel with RugbyPass reporting the English club and Perpignan are in negotiations over a transfer fee to buy him out of the final two years of his contract at Kingsholm.
The publication reports the Cherry and Whites are on the hunt for potential cover for Byrne should he leave, looking for a player who can cover 10 and 12, which would provide depth in the centres should both Seb Atkinson and Max Llewellyn also become more utilised players for England and Wales, respectively, next season.
Ospreys snap up released Exeter Chiefs full back
Ospreys have confirmed that Exeter Chiefs full back Dan John will join the United Rugby Championship side after being released by the Devon club.
A talented utility back is capable of playing at centre and across the back three, joined the Chiefs Academy in 2020. He went on to make his senior debut in March 2021, coming off the bench in an Exeter victory over the Leicester Tigers, and has made 33 appearances for the Gallagher Premiership outfit.

Former Gloucester lock signs for Worcester Warriors
Worcester Warriors have confirmed the signing of former Gloucester club captain Tom Savage ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Savage signed for Gloucester back in 2011 and went on to make almost 200 appearances in Cherry and White as well as being named club captain for the 2013/14 season. Savage then spent four seasons in the Japanese Top League playing for Suntory Sungoliath, before moving to play three years in Super Rugby for Moana Pasifika.
Gloucester sign up a swathe of age-grade internationals into their senior academy
Gloucester Rugby have confirmed nine players have signed senior academy contracts with the club, with eight of the cohort having come through the club’s youth pathway.
This year’s players include England age‑grade winger Junior Denny, fly-half Oli Hewitt, backrow Henry Horsfall and winger Krystof Wood, alongside Wales pathway centre and full back Tomos Evans and scrum-half Luca Woodyatt.
They are joined by Gloucester U18s prop Ben Koolen, who has already been capped by Canada at U20s level, and hooker Teddy Smith Milne.
Completing the group is highly rated fly-half Zac Jones, who arrives from the Saracens Academy, having recently represented England at the U18 Men’s Six Nations Festival.
