Sony's Forgotten Multiplayer PS5, PC Game Gets Final Update as Developer Moves On 1

Remember Midnight Murder Club? Sony published this unusual multiplayer shooter last year on PS5 and PC, and it quickly fell into obscurity.

Developer Velan Studios has announced it’s just released the last planned update for the game, meaning it won’t be getting any further post-launch support.

The update itself is a minor one aimed at Steam players, but it seems both versions of the game will not receive any more updates unless strictly necessary:

– The manor’s doors will stay open for both new guests and seasoned players alike

– We’ll come back to fix anything in the future that prevents people from playing the way they can today

– There’s a dedicated room codes channel in our Discord you can use to find other players

Importantly, it’s worth noting the game is not going away; as mentioned above, servers will remain active, and you can use the developer’s Discord server to find other players.

If you missed this game, Midnight Murder Club is an online multiplayer game in which several players enter a mansion in complete darkness, equipped only with a pistol and a torch.

There are various game modes, but the main gist is to creep around the house and use spatial audio, bursts of torch light, and other cues to track down and kill opponents in the pitch black — while trying to stay hidden yourself.

It launched in August 2025, but despite its novel premise, it unfortunately never found a sizeable audience.

At least it’s sticking around so you can give it a shot if you like. Have you tried Midnight Murder Club? Tell us in the comments section below.
