Faf du Plessis | TSK Captain | Most Valuable Player – It’s a great wicket, I always love batting here, wish the whole tournament were here. Was under pressure with the ball, they got a big score and ended with two sixes at the back-end. But we cracked the game open during the battiong PP. They batted well, but you could see it was a good wicket, the ball came on nicely and I was proud of the way the boys came back. Bowling from one end was always tough for the bowlers due to the short boundary and the wind coming, but we performed well from that end, which was a match-turning effort for us. Milestones aren’t what you bat for, it’s always batting with intensity and strike-rate. Quick 30s and 40s are good, but a score around 75 is significant; however, the strike-rate matters. I always look forward to being part of this tournament, it’s a great pitch and I love playing for the Super Kings franchise. They’re a great franchise across all tournaments, very loyal and very supportive.
