A clinic in Derby is expanding its healthcare offering after receiving accreditation by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Promeds Clinic, in Vernon Street, Derby, plans to introduce a broader range of medical services including a new GP as well as women’s health and chronic pain management services.
Thanks to the CQC accreditation, the clinic can now provide regulated medical and invasive procedures, online assessments and health management programmes alongside the aesthetic procedures it was offering before.
As part of its expansion, Promeds will now offer private GP appointments, specialist chronic pain management services, medical diagnostic testing and an enhanced women’s health and gynaecology service.
Promeds was founded by a team of experienced doctors who identified a significant gap in the UK healthcare market for faster access to appointments, more personalised patient care and innovative treatments already being used successfully overseas.
The team said chronic pain management would become a key area of focus for the clinic, helping patients living with long-term conditions that can have a significant impact on quality of life, mobility and wellbeing.
Dr Kemal Kavasoglu, lead practitioner at Promeds’ Derby clinic, said: “We’re delighted to achieve Care Quality Commission accreditation and to have the standards of our clinical care formally recognised.
“From the outset, our vision has been to bring together exceptional patient care with access to innovative treatments and services that are not always widely available.
“Chronic pain affects thousands of people across the region and can be incredibly challenging to live with.
“We are excited to be able to support patients with new treatment options and a personalised approach to long-term pain management.”
Dr Doga Donmez, who will lead the clinic’s new GP services, added: “Meeting the CQC’s standards marks an important milestone in our development and allows us to expand into areas where we see growing demand for accessible healthcare services.
“Many of our team have worked internationally and have seen first-hand how different healthcare systems approach patient access and treatment pathways.
“When we established Promeds, we recognised an opportunity to help address some of the challenges patients face when trying to access timely appointments and newer treatment options.
“We know that access to GP appointments can be difficult for many people locally, which is why we will be offering online and face to face consultations, in many cases, as early as the next day.
“Alongside this, our chronic pain services will provide patients with access to specialist support designed to help them better manage ongoing conditions and improve their quality of life.”
Promeds Clinic opened its Derby site in 2025 and expanded earlier this year to a second clinic in Cambridge.
