Mr Campbell’s background includes a senior executive role at Elanic Medical and a previous position as general manager at Rusacks Hotel in St Andrews, where he built strong connections within the international golf community. He also served as resort general manager at Crieff Hydro Resort.
“Having previously worked in St Andrews, I know what makes this part of Scotland so special,” Mr Campbell said. “Its history, natural beauty and global reputation are remarkable, but it is the warmth of the people and strength of the community that leave a lasting impression.”
In late 2023, Fairmont owners St Andrews Bay Development submitted plans to Fife Council for a new championship course, which would combine and redesign holes from both the Torrance and Kittocks layouts.

Mr Campbell’s experience in luxury hospitality, especially within the golf sector, is expected to support the resort’s ambitions to strengthen its international profile and guest offering across the 520-acre estate overlooking St Andrews Bay.
