Wycombe High School’s under-14 girls’ team secured their place in the final four of the School Sport Magazine National Schools Tennis Cup following a standout performance at the regional finals in Gloucester.

Their success puts them in contention for the national title, with the finals set to take place at Repton School.

Nicola Renyard, headteacher at Wycombe High School, said: “We are incredibly proud of our Under 14 tennis team.

“To reach the national finals and be recognised as one of the top four school teams in the country is a fantastic achievement.

“The girls have shown tremendous commitment, resilience and sportsmanship throughout the competition and they are wonderful ambassadors for the school.

“We wish them every success at Repton.”

The School Sport Magazine National Schools Tennis Cup is considered one of the most prestigious events in the school tennis calendar.

It attracts top teams from across the country and reaching the final four is a significant achievement.

Wycombe High School will now compete against the best teams in the country, with a national title within reach.

The school has a well-established reputation for sporting excellence, with students regularly competing at regional and national levels across a wide range of sports.

The national finals will take place on Friday, July 3.
