A road in Gwynedd has been closed following a serious motorbike crash. Emergency services were called to a stretch of road between Nantmor and Nant Gwynant involving a motorbike at around 11.36am on Thursday.
The road was closed in both directions and drivers were urged to avoid the area. A Wales Air Ambulance helicopter attended the scene.
A North Wales Police spokesperson said: “At 11.36am today, 25 June, we received a report of a single-vehicle road traffic collision involving a motorbike between Nantmor and Nant Gwynant in the Beddgelert area.
“The road remains closed and we continue to ask motorists to avoid the area until further notice.
“Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact officers on 101, or via the website, quoting reference number O099561.”
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson added: “We were called today at approximately 11:12am, to reports of a road traffic collision near Nant Gwynant, Caernarfon.
“We sent one Cymru High Acuity Response Unit and one emergency to the scene.
“Advanced critical care support was delivered by the Emergency Medical Retrieval and Transfer Service in a Wales Air Ambulance charity helicopter.”
As of 4.45pm, the road remains closed.
