Aldi is set to release a range of ‘cool air’ SpecialBuy gadgets

Aldi is introducing several ‘cool air’ products to its stores as part of its newest SpecialBuy offerings. The timing couldn’t be better as Britain continues to endure another day of scorching weather, with temperatures climbing to 35C across parts of the nation.
Earlier in the week, the Met Office issued an uncommon extreme heat red warning for certain regions of England and Wales as forecasts anticipated highs of 40C. The severe conditions have resulted in school closures, travel disruption, NHS strain, a decline in retail footfall and multiple drownings.
An intense ‘heat dome’ coupled with elevated humidity has this week driven daytime temperatures beyond a record-breaking 36.7C. The stifling conditions have produced insufferable ‘tropical nights’ where temperatures stayed above 20C.
In an attempt to manage the heat, as the majority of UK properties are designed to retain warmth, millions of residents are relying on fans and air conditioning units to keep cool. Lidl is launching a new 3-in-1 portable air conditioning unit this week for customers, and Aldi is unveiling a selection of ‘cool air’ devices next week.
From Thursday (July 2), customers will be able to buy a Globe Fan for £39.99, a Microfibre Duvet set from £9.99, a Portable Telescopic Fan for £24.99 and various other ‘cooling’ items. Customers can browse the complete range on Aldi’s website, reports the Mirror.

Two particularly noteworthy offers include Aldi’s Portable Air Cooler at £14.99 and the Jet Fan priced at £16.99. The air cooler is available in three colours and features a cube design.
Its small footprint allows it to be shifted between rooms, or even used outdoors as it operates without a mains connection — instead charging through a USB-C cable. Three speed settings are available, and it incorporates a built-in LED motion. It also boasts an automatic colour-changing mode and a touch control panel.
Aldi says: “Your very own cooling device, perfect for bedrooms, offices, or even outdoor activities.” It additionally features a detachable water tank and an upper compartment for adding water to generate cooler air. Three colour options are on offer: grey, blue, and light blue.

Regarding the £16.99 Jet Fan, it arrives with a zip-up storage box to house all its parts. Aldi says: “Stay cool during the warmer months with fast, efficient cooling.”
The ‘two-in-one’ jet fan serves a dual purpose, functioning as both a dust blower and a vacuum pump. Various attachments are included to accommodate different tasks. Aldi adds: “Suitable for cleaning via compressed air, for inflating or vacuuming”.
The fan’s intensity is fully adjustable, and three colours are available: black, blue, green, and grey. It boasts a built-in rechargeable battery, a light, belt clip and storage box, and can be recharged via USB, with a charging cable provided.
