Long Ashton Surgery, on Rayens Cross Road, will shut from 1pm due to staffing issues.
A spokesperson for Tyntesfield Medical Group, which the practice is part of, said: “Our staffing levels will be significantly impacted by unexpected local school closures on Thursday afternoon.
“As a result, we have made the decision to close Long Ashton Surgery from 1pm.
“Patients who require urgent care and need to be seen will be asked to attend another site.
“Your enquiries can still be handled in the usual way by calling 01275 392134.
“If your enquiry is not urgent, we would appreciate it if you could contact us at a later date.
“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding.”
Patients are being advised to contact the practice by phone or visit an alternative site if urgent care is needed.
