Toulouse head coach Sylvain Houles told Sky Sports:
“I don’t think we played well. We shot ourselves in the first half. We couldn’t finish our sets and we gave too many opportunities to Leigh, which they took.
“Every time they were in our 10m, they ended up scoring tries and we were again chasing the game.
“It’s a tough sport, rugby league, and when we give opportunities like we did, it’s even harder.”
Leigh Leopards head coach Adrian Lam told Sky Sports:
“It was a very hot day, 40C before kick-off and it makes everyone a bit nervous.
“We needed to start well and we controlled that first half so I’m really pleased with the performance.
“Toulouse made a lot of mistakes and didn’t help themselves but we needed to come here and create some pressure with our defence because it can be a tough place to come and with the conditions here today as well.”
