ArtSpace5-7 in Portugal Place, Cambridge, is opening its summer exhibition to the public tomorrow (Saturday, 4 July).
Titled Studio Stories, the exhibition will continue throughout July, coinciding with Cambridge Open Studios. However, the show at ArtSpace5-7 will extend into August as well.

The exhibition features six artists from Cambridge Open Studios working across a variety of media.
They are: Richard Bray, master wood sculptor and chair of Cambridge Open Studios; Isabelle Davies, stained glass artist and conservator; Mark Alvarez, prize-winning contemporary photographer and treasurer of Cambridge Open Studios; Lyudmila Sikhosana, a painter in oils; Gabriella del Valle, jewellery designer and maker dedicated to sustainable craftsmanship; and Sandra Scott, textile and multimedia artist.

The organisers say: “While traditionally attention has inclined towards young, emerging artists, and those at the start of their careers with a focus on London, Studio Stories aims to highlight the work of established and evolving practices – with a focus on artistic process and practice and the act of making.
“It’s about living as an artist: thinking, designing, interrogating, attempting, failing, adapting and creating.”

The exhibition is open Saturday and Sundays in July and in August and by appointment by emailing info@artspace5-7.org.
