A man has been taken to hospital with knife wounds after a stabbing in a city street

A man was stabbed in a Birmingham road and had to be taken to hospital.
The incident took place in Glebe Farm Road, Stechford on Friday (July 3) afternoon.
Police and ambulances rushed to the scene.

An eyewitness reported a man being ‘stabbed in the leg’ and then ‘banging his head’.
It took place shortly before 4.30pm. The victim is said to be in his 40s.
An area was cordoned off by police near the Lifestyle Express shop.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “We’re investigating after a man was found with stab injuries in Glebe Farm Road, Stechford, at just before 4.30pm today (Friday, July 3). “The man in his 40s has been taken to hospital, although his injuries are not currently believed to be life-threatening. “We’re in the early stages of our enquiries and anyone with information can contact us via Live Chat on our website, or by calling 101, and quote log 4107 of 3/7/26.”
